How do you change the orientation of a Word document to Landscape?

Home tab -> Page Setup -> Landscape.

To change the page orientation to Landscape, go to the Layout tab, open Orientation in the Page Setup group, and choose Landscape. This works because orientation is a page setup option housed in the Layout tab of Word’s ribbon. Other tabs aren’t where you find page setup commands, so they won’t change the orientation. In older Word versions, you might see Page Layout instead of Layout, but the same idea applies: locate the page setup options and pick Landscape.
